Little digital presents, from little digital children.
The Little Travellers do not have an iPad.
I do.
But every now and then they become a little confused about the word "my" and mistake it for the word "our".
This means that often when I'm downloading pictures, or randomly scrolling while I wait for a child, I discover what has really gone down while I've been out of the room.
Sometimes it's cute
And sometimes it's a video of your children running through the house shaking your beloved ipad to allow for an earthquake reenactment. And just before you lock them in their rooms with a weeks supply of bread and water, you realize that you were RIGHT there in the room with them! But just a little preoccupied (getting rid of the wine bottles from the night before). And no, he isn't naturally cross eyed and yes, that was a fart noise.
And then sometimes you discover the most beautiful piece of writing you've ever read in your life.
"not even Amelia Earheart is cooler than you"
Can someone promise me she'll feel that way when she's 17?
Made any digital discoveries lately?

My two are obsessed with 'borrowing' my phone and taking photos with it - was a little confused as to why I had a lot of photos of fingers and with no heads in until I worked out who had been taking them...
ReplyDeleteYou are blessed Kirsty. No matter what, you will cherish this moment you read this forever!

The letter! How beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI found about 40 photos of my son Brian on my iPhone. All were taken while I was apparently sitting right next to him. Kept several of them as there are my go to when I need a reason to smile. And there was the one of me lecturing them while on a car ride... No idea I was being videoed... Love that one.
ReplyDeleteI love Lizzie's letter. A treasure. I have letters taped to the inside of cabinets in the kitchen so I find see them all the time. Treasures! The things I'd grab if there was a fire.
That's very sweet. She will still love you at 17, but being 17, she may have difficulty saying so.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! I've just discovered your wonderful blog... I've read through more pages of it than I care to remember, but you can attribute an increase in traffic to me :)
ReplyDeleteYes! Just this past week my 3 year old was playing the videos my (then 4) year old had filmed on his little "kiddy ipad but much cheaper" computer. My son was running around the yard with a plastic plane and crashed it into the ground. My husband filmed it. I loved it, but it pained me a tiny bit because when they're older and so thin you forget that they ever had a bit of roundness to their sweet little faces.
